Science, Not Guesswork: Samantha Diamond on Modern Fertility Care

Samantha Diamond joins me to talk about building Bird&Be from personal frustration, lived experience, and science. We get into PCOS, pregnancy loss, why so much of fertility care still feels stuck in the past, and how empowering people with better data can change everything about how they move through the journey.

Meet Samantha Diamond, CEO and co-founder of Bird&Be, a reproductive health company redefining fertility care through at-home tests and science-driven supplements. In her 30s, while navigating PCOS and pregnancy loss, Sam became increasingly frustrated with drugstore ovulation tests and generic supplements—symbols of an outdated fertility industry that felt ineffective, impersonal, and disconnected from the emotional reality of the journey. At the same time, Sam—then running a consumer marketing agency—noticed a striking contrast: people were deeply invested in skincare routines and beauty ingredients, yet often had little understanding of what was happening inside their own bodies when it came to fertility and menstrual health.

That disconnect, combined with her personal experience, sparked Bird&Be—a mission to empower people on the TTC journey with clear, evidence-based tools, transparent education, and products designed to actually support reproductive health.
