When to Lean In and When to Let Go:
Parenting with Purpose

As a licensed child psychologist, Michelle shares how parents can create real change at home — by tuning into their child’s strengths, and knowing when and why to back off.

Dr. Michelle Todorow is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to practice in clinical and neuropsychology with children and adolescents. She received her Masters and Doctorate degree from York University, and completed her clinical training at The Hospital for Sick Children and The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). From 2016 to 2024, Dr. Todorow worked at Kinark Child and Family Services in various roles, including Staff Psychologist and Clinical Lead within the Child and Youth Mental Health Program.

In addition to her current role as Clinic Director at WellSpirit Psychology, Dr. Todorow works part-time at Anishnawbe Health Toronto (AHT) and has led their multidisciplinary FASD diagnostic team since 2019. She is also actively involved in supervising graduate students and serves as the Associate Director and Supervisor for the Wikwemikong Health Centre within the Northern Ontario Psychology Internship Consortium (NORPIC). Dr. Todorow has experience working with children and youth presenting with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression, ADHD, LD, ASD, complex trauma). Her clinical practice is rooted in a culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, and strength-based model of care. Over the years, she has cultivated her ability to strategically integrate various evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, DBT) and adapt their delivery for neurodiverse children and youth. On a personal note, Dr. Todorow is the proud mother of two young children and loves spending time playing and exploring the world with them.
